N.S.W. Delegate’s Report

NSW STATE DELEGATE REPORT.

Hi Everyone,
This is the first opportunity I have had since beginning my term as NSW State Delegate to be in contact with NSW Members, my apologies for the delay, we have all suffered considerably through the recent E.I. outbreak and I’m sure everyone is looking forward with hope to better times ahead.

 I do have a couple of requests firstly, if any NSW Members know of any shows with MHAA classes included or of anywhere there is the possibility of putting them on please don’t hesitate to contact myself or any of the NSW Committee Members with the view to getting shows in different areas that our Members can attend or if you would like to discuss any ideas etc you may have, we would love to hear from you.
We would also like to get in contact with any Youth Members, the numbers of Youth competitors in NSW are currently quite small and we would like to chat with the Youth Members or their parents with the view to holding some Youth camps or other events that the kids would be interested in attending and to also help them to join with MHAA Youth Members from other States to perhaps train and compete etc at National level and develop their skills with their horses possibly with the aim to travel overseas to compete against other nations and generally have a lot of fun with their horses.

We had to unfortunately make the decision to postpone our State High Points system for 2007 all participants have been contacted and given the choice to either receive a full refund for monies already paid or to transfer their entries over until the next season which most have chosen to do, we urge all Members to consider entering the State High Points next season. Those with the most points in each section are offered the opportunity to compete at the National Show in a special invitation class we would love to have entries from all sections from NSW horses at next years National Show 2009 which appears to be shaping up as a very exciting special event for MHAA its our 20th Anniversary year and some special things are planned so please everyone put it on the must go calendar for 2009 along with the NSW State Show planed for February 2009 (Details soon)
I have included some upcoming show dates, programs and some possible shows in this issue that you may be interested in attending please if you see myself or any of the NSW committee members at any of the shows please come over and have a chat the NSW Committee Members are keen to hear from our State Members especially with any ideas for competitions training days or other activities for Members to participate in.
I do hope everyone is able to do all they would like this year without any more problems with drought or E.I.
