The Victorian Branch wish to call for Casual positions on the Victorian State Committee.

The Positions are available until September 2008 at which time the State elections would have taken place and a new Committee will be in place.
If you nominate for one of these casual positions there is no reason why you could not continue in the position if you choose to renominate in the up and coming election and are voted in by the Members in September 2008

The National Committee of Management would like to give Members preliminary notice of the AGM which will be held on
Sunday 28 September, 2008
At 10-30am
As soon as the Venue is confirmed, Members will be advised by Email Newsletter and a notice put on the website and in the next Fine Lines.
The venue selected will be in close proximity to a capital city Airport. |

Stallion Returns 2008 Breeding Season
This is a reminder to all Breeders as the 2008 breeding season draws to a close as of 1st AUGUST 2008. All Stallion Return forms must be submitted to the Office NO LATER than the above date – NO EXCEPTIONS. The forms can be downloaded from our website.
Breeders please note that a separate form for each stallion must be used and if a mare is not listed on a Stallion Return any resulting progeny will have to be DNA parent qualified before it can be registered.

IMPORTANT MICOCHIP INFORMATION
When wishing to Microchip a form must be downloaded from our website and filled in by your vet and sent in with the application to Register. Equine Influenza Microchip If your horse has been microchipped for E.I. MHAA will accept a copy of the form supplied by that vet for either foal recording or upgrade in place of the offical MHAA form. If submitting your Registration papers just to have the microchip number added to the certificate at a time other than foal recording or upgrade a $11 fee will be charged for the re-issue of the certificate. If submitting microchip form with a normal registration/upgrade there is no extra fee other than the normal registration/upgrade fee. You will still need to supply a copy of the form supplied by your E. I .Vet. Summary: To record a microchip MHAA Registry MUST receive either the MHAA microchip form OR a copy of the form supplied by the Vet who did the E. I. microchip implant.

AMNESTY
For Revoked Adult Upgrades
As Members Australia wide have been unable to have their horses officially measured due to the restrictions associated with the Equine Influenza Virus, the Committee of Management wish to announce an amnesty regarding ALL revoked ADULT UPGRADE REGISTRATIONS.
The amnesty will commence 1st May 2008 – 31st July 2008.
All Members are requested to forward any revoked Adult Upgrade Registrations with the normal fee for a 4 year old, work order and the appropriate paperwork between these dates.
